Free parenting classes are offered in Spanish and English for teen and young adult parents. The Teen Parent Support Project aims to address the needs of the entire teen's family, including grandparents, birth fathers, and siblings. We work intergenerationally with these families to break the cycle of teen pregnancy and to ensure that the children of teen parents get a sound start.
Mentor Moms, our peer leadership mentor program provides a vibrant and meaningful format for cultivating friendship and role modeling between very young mothers and a volunteer Mentor Mom, who is herself a successful teen mother. This model has resulted in increased self-esteem and confidence in our volunteers as well as the teen parents.
