Catholic Charities recognizes that helping seniors maintain their independence is a growing need in our community. To meet this need, Catholic Charities of Central New Mexico offers the following program services:

• personal care
• respite care
• meal preparation
• running errands
• transportation
• light housecleaning
• companionship
• assisting with contacting community resources

Eligibility: Anyone 55 and older who needs assistance with daily activities in their home.
Fees: One time client enrollment fee based on household income.

Volunteer Programs provides seniors with rides to:

• medical appointments
• grocery store
• any government or business office

Eligibility: Anyone 55 and older who is able to walk either on his or her own or with the use of a cane or walker.
Fees: None; services are provided by volunteers.

Hours of service:
    Requests are Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm.
    Rides are given six days a week, 8am - 5pm.

Respite Services provides a "Rest" for primary caregivers of dependent older adults. A volunteer will visit the home to give the caregiver a break from the responsibility of caregiving. Services services provided are:

• companionship
• conversation
• friendship
• emotional support
• help with daily living activities

Eligibility: Caregivers who can use time-off.
Fees: None.

Services provided: Seven days a week, 8am - 5pm.
