Home care
Our Home Care Program offers a unique opportunity for you to work independently providing non-medical homemaker services to older persons in their homes.
The Home Care Program will provide orientation and training to independent homemaker-contractors who are interested in visiting seniors in their own homes and assisting them with daily living activities and needs. Your clients will pay you promptly after services are provided. We will assist and support you to help your client maintain their independence in their own home.
The Client will pay the Homemaker directly. A Service Agreement between Client and Homemaker will be completed. The hourly rate for four hours or more per week is $8.00, and the hourly rate for two to three hours is $9.00 plus New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax (the current rate is 5.8125 percent). Total per hour is $8.47 for four hours or more per week and $9.52 per hour for a minimum two to three hours per week.
Homemakers are reimbursed 31.5 cents per mile for transportation and errands when using their own car.
The Homemaker is a self-employed contractor and is solely responsible for reporting and paying their own social security contributions, federal income tax, and state gross receipt tax.
